David Utz

David Utz is an artist of many interests, a portrait artist, a sculptor, and a graphic designer who has won honors and awards in each area of his artistic endeavors.
His inspiration is fueled by many influences: the clean sense of composition and style of the turn-of-the-century illustrators, the bold graphics and vibrant colors of the Caribbean and Central American Art and the contemporary look of media art of the 1960’s.
In his “Jungle Paintings” of the past decade, Utz pays homage To the Surrealists and Henri Rousseau. David was also influenced by his father, renowned artist Thornton Utz, and grew up with his artistic talent well nurtured in a studio of artists.
